16 R E L A S T ® D E S I G N M A N U A L Figure 17 Loaddisplacement curve of specimens from test series 2016 [2] 3 2 1 Test series 2016 The aim of test series 2016 was to understand the effect of RELAST ® on the punching shear capacity of the slab specimens The screw configuration as shown in Figure 16 From the forcedisplacement curves in Figure 17 the following results can be identified • Specimens S01-P00 S01-P04 which are unstrengthened show brittle failure and fail at around 700 kN and is therefore established as the reference load level • Specimen S01-P02 where the screws were installed below the bottom edge of the top flexural reinforcement showed a slightly lower punching shear resistance than the specimens where the screws were installed to the top edge of the top flexural reinforcement 21% vs 23% increase in punching shear resistance with respect to the reference load level • Increasing the number of screws from 32 to 48 in specimens S01-P03 doubled the shear resistance from 23% to 41% with respect to the reference load level Figure 16 Test series 2016 [2] and 32 RELAST ® 22 M20x635* mm 32 RELAST ® 22 M20x335* mm 32 RELAST ® 22 M20x335* mm 3 VALIDATION BY TESTING
