15 R E L A S T ® D E S I G N M A N U A L 3 2 RELAST ® as punching shear reinforcement Similar to the tests conducted to determine the performance of concrete screws as shear reinforcement elements four test series were performed at the University of Innsbruck Unit for Concrete Structures and Bridge Design to determine whether the screws are also suitable as postinstalled punching shear reinforcement The tests were done in specimens with and without punching shear reinforcement and under various concrete screw numbers and installation depths Figure 15 Punching shear test setup [2] The tests were performed on circular slabs with a diameter of 2 700 mm and a thickness of 200 mm The slabs were poured together with a stub to represent a column in the middle of the slab The stub diameter was 250 mm with a height of 100 mm [2] As can be seen in the figure below the slabs were sub - jected to a punching shear force delivered by a hydraulic jack Different test series were performed with different hydraulic jacks ranging in nominal load capacities between 1 0 MN to 1 5 MN
